Portrait photography is an effective and intuitive way of discovering oneself and others. However, it will never be an easy job to produce a good portrait, and this is especially true in producing a portrait for a photographer. Portrait photography involves communication between the target and the photographer, and producing a portrait for a photographer will need mutual trust as well.
Most people usually focus only on the view finder or the visual effect of the portrait, neglecting the photographer behind the lens.
This time round, I zeroed in on the photographer, trying to interpret the photographer’s personality with my own style, and freeze the moment with silver halide and developer. With more life experiences in the years to come, I should find fresh interpretations as I continue to savor these captured moments of time, I call this process “Sedimentation”.
